
In 2005, Valerie took a beginner standup class taught by Joan O’Meara. Afterwards, she was invited by Joan, Big Peter Francis, and Tim Davis to join their comedy troupe, Comedy at Large. She performed for several years around the valley with the troupe and on her own before taking a self-imposed break.
She returned to comedy in 2014, taking classes with Tony Vicich (comedyschools.com) and later was invited to help teach Tony’s advanced standup comedy class.
Valerie is a regular at Tempe Center for the Arts, headlining there several times as well as at Peoria Center for the Arts, Class Clown show at Tempe Improv, Stadium Club, Vito’s Italian Restaurant, and others.

Valerie has performed all over Arizona and as far away as Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. Local Phoenix comedy clubs she has performed at include:

Valerie has opened for Mark Cordes, Bob Kubota, Luenell, Andrew Norelli, and Johnny Sanchez. Valerie can host, open, feature, or headline, She is comfortable performing for all audience types in large and small venues, fundraisers & charitable events, and corporate events.
